Wedgwood Royal Blue Jasperware
A Wedgwood Royal Blue jasperware teapot produced to commemorate the Queen's Coronation in June 1953.
The teapot features a white bas-relief of Queen Elizabeth II on one side and HRH Duke of Edinburgh on the other both centred within in a wreath of laurel leaves and berry foliage and both have a crown above. There are also bas-reliefs of laurel leaves and berries on the lid and around the handle and spout.
The teapot is glazed on the inside. It measures approximately 8 3/4 inches from the end of the spout to the end of the handle and stands approximately 4 inches tall plus the lid.
On the base of the teapot is the wording "1953 Coronation Wedgwood Royal Blue Jasper Made in England Limited Edition" and impressed is '697 Wedgwood Made in England'.
The teapot is first quality and is in very good condition.
