Wedgwood Terracotta Jasperware
A Wedgwood terracotta jasperware pendant featuring a basalt bas-relief depicting Medusa hung on a gold-coloured chain.
Medusa from Greek mythology was a monster, a Gorgon, generally described as a winged human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair.
The pendant measures approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter and the chain measures approximately 27 inches in length. The pendant is stamped "Wedgwood Made in England" on the back.
The pendant and chain are in very good condition and comes with the original presentation box.
