The America's Cup is a sailing competition and the oldest international competition still operating in any sport. America's Cup match races are held between two sailing yachts: one from the yacht club that currently holds the trophy (known as the defender) and the other from the yacht club that is challenging for the cup (the challenger). The pin dish measures approximately 4 1/4 inches in diameter and is impressed on the back Wedgwood made in England. In blue writing on the back of the pin dish it reads "America's Cup Perth 1987 made exclusively for Qantas by Wedgwood Limited Edition of 3000.
The pin dish is first quality and is in very good condition together with the original presentation box however this is a little tatty.
