A Wedgwood tri-colour jasperware oval tray featuring a white bas relief of Venus and Cupid on a terracotta jasperware central medallion, surrounded by fluting with an anthemion border.
The tray measures approximately 9 3/4 inches by 7 1/2 inches, the medallion measures approximately 4 inches by 3 inches and is stamped on the back in gold 'Obstania Discindo The Noble Line of Wedgwood. Venus & Cupid Tray In a Limited Edition of 1000. This being number 960 in a limited edition of 1000.
The tray is first quality and in very good condition and comes with the booklet and original box.
