Wedgwood Black Basalt

A basalt jasperware and hand-gilded Beloved of The Great Enchantress plaque from the Egyptian Collection depicting a scene from the golden shrine of the tomb of Tutankhamun.

On the back of the plaque it reads “Beloved of The Great Enchantress – A scene from the golden shrine of the tomb of Tutankhamun, Boy King of Egypt (1361-1352 B.C.). Limited Edition of 3,000 by Wedgwood.

The plaque measures approximately 4 inches square and is stamped "Wedgwood Made In England with the number 78” on the back. It is also stamped "Wedgwood" on the front bottom right corner.

The plaque is first quality and in very good condition however in a couple of places there is some rubbing to the gold as can be see in the photograph.
