Wedgwood Black and White Jasperware

A Wedgwood black jasperware paperweight issued for The Wedgwood Collectors Society.

The central cameo is the famous bell and around it in gold lettering: Proclaim Liberty Throughout the Land. There is a frieze of white bas-relief leaves around the neck and stars around the base.

Marked on the underside in gold coloured print is a miniature profile of Josiah Wedgwood, and around it the words: The Wedgwood Collectors Society. To the side it reads Liberty Bell, Philadelphia, Pa.

Also impressed into the base is a mark that reads "Wedgwood, Made in England" 70.

The paperweight measures approximately 90mm in diameter and stands around 48mm tall.

The paperweight has been previously owned but it is first quality and is in very good condition.
