The plate measures approximately 8 inches in diameter and on the underside reads "Royal Doulton - Crabapple Cottage - The home of Mr. and Mrs. Apple - A series of plates featuring the homes and work places of the mice of Brambly Hedge – Clover and Catkin helped Mrs. Apple string crabapples to roast over the fire. The boys had to sit and watch because they ate too many - Jill Barklem 1984".
